Crazy Dreams

Tuesday, March 28th, 2006

Last night I had a dream that I was starring in Ocean’s 13. I was playing Danny Ocean’s illegitmate son. George Clooney Liked me. Brad Pitt hated me. That is the third dream in which I have acted along side Brad Pitt and the friggin’ jerk hated me. What’s his problem anyways!

Well, as wierd as that dream sounds the wierder thing happened next. Ben IMed me with a link to… a news story about Ocean’s 13. The day after the dream. I didn’t even tell him about the dream. Wierd. So I should probably be in that movie, as long as it doesn’t conflict with Shillers or any other Sweaty Robot obligations I might have.

Sweaty Robot Rejects

Saturday, March 25th, 2006

Here are some REAL (seriously) concepts for the Sweaty Robot.

TV Theme Update

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

I reedited the TV Theme Song short after all the controversy. See, the problem was it was too long, and you could hear our ‘nails-on-a-chalk-board’ voices much too loudly. Well, there are more problems than that, but if you get a chance, check out the new one. It’s funnier.

My God, we are Sorry!

Tuesday, March 21st, 2006

On behalf of Sweaty Robot I would like to apologize for the horrible short “Sweaty Robot Sings… It is not good. Do not watch it. Watch BFF. Watch Harris Malden. Watch Do’s and Don’ts. Even Mustache Revolver. Whatever you do, do not watch Sweaty Robot sings… I can’t even bear to write the full title it’s that bad.

The singing is awful. The sound quality is awful. The… just watch it and shut up. We never said we were always going to be funny. We just try to be funny. Maybe it’s not Big Mamma’s House Two. Maybe the sound is horribly grating. But who cares it’s only three minutes long. You spend more time shaving your mothers back.

New Podcast

A new podcast?! Yeah, that’s how we do. Check it out, it’s got a special guest star by the name of Tim Collins!

PhillyPitch 2006

Monday, March 20th, 2006

Eric and Nick have been selected to take part in PhillyPitch 2006. We’re going to do a practice pitch in front of some rando’s in a couple of days, and then do the real deal in front of Producers, April 1st. I predict that we’ll win, because I’m cocky, and we’re good at pitching.

This is what the guy had to say about our pitch for “Shillers”:

“Eric and Nick - Good pitch, but bordering on obnoxious, lose the arrogance/smart assness at end. More details of the con and the complications of the con, not just the love story complications.”

By the “arrogance” at the end, he means the Slow Clap we performed FOR OURSELVES. Sometimes creativity just isn’t appreciated. Okay, we’ll lose the slow clap, and add the section about what the con is.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

New Stuff, Idiots!

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

Hey IDIOTS! Yeah, you! I see you lookin’ at the computer screen with those dumb eyes of yours. Well use your clickin’ finger to check out the NEW PODCAST! A new movie is on it’s way right behind it too. Jerks.

What We’ve Been Doing and Tim’s Vacation

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

Content has not been added this week and people are saying (no they’re not) WHAT GIVES?! We planned to shoot this weekend, but due to scheduling issues with the location– yes we are going to use a REAL location– we had to postpone until April 1. Juan and I have been sick. Leave us be.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Tim (Pig Sty) is coming to Philadelphia. We’ll shoot his script on Friday. Also, we’ll be putting on a puppet show down at the local rec center. No we won’t.

Scripts

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

I thought it would be at least passably interesting for a fan to read the shooting scripts we used in a couple of our shorts. Here are links for:

BFF Script

Ghost ETC #2 Script

I hope someone thinks this is neat.

We Rock the Party that Rock the Body!

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

Sweaty Robot was most definitely in the house, Saturday night, at The Jenna’s birthday party, at Patou Nightclub. One of our shorts, “The Do’s and Donts of Dating” was shown in front of crowd of 400. Even though you couldn’t hear the audio to well people still laughed. And let’s face it, who needs audio, when you look as good as we do. JK, just kidding, JK.

We were also interviewed by Bernie and www.podcastpeople.com . We were able to promote the site which is totally sweet teeted. Big thanks to podcastpeople.com. Check their website to see the full video interview. Another shout out to Mara and The Jenna. Happy birthday ladies, great party.

Sweaty Robot is doing big things people. Is this serious enough for you?

Two New Movies!

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

Check out the Videos section for “Best Friends Forever” and “The Do’s and Dont’s of Dating” the two great new movies by Sweaty Robot. Both were Cinematogged by Matt Sanchez and look great. Enjoy!

Flash Video Thingy

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

***Nerdy News Update***

We have a new flash player on the site. It has volume control, streams the flv, loads an flv into an swf, and does everything we need it to do. It’s available here:
Hillman Curtis FLV Player.

Both of these are FREE. Wonderful!

I searched high and low for it and finally found it.

We also have really nice flv files to show, encoded with:
Riva FLV Encoder

Sweaty Confusion

Wednesday, March 1st, 2006

An odd chain of events has led Sweaty Robot to its first ‘public’ shoot. We’re doing fake PSA’s about dating for Philly social websites. Tonight, Juan, Nick, Matt, and I are heading to Eulogy to shoot some scenes there, then over to an apartment for the rest. Sure we’re not getting paid, but I think we’re getting a VIP party pass for something or other. Either way, it’ll be fun.
